Job description
Turnkey Workplace Services has an exciting opening for a Commercial Interior Designer to join our team!
Essential Job Functions
-
Utilizing CET software or equivalent, the designer/specifier will specify and design turn-key furniture solutions for corporate spaces

Specify products and solutions for interior corporate spaces
-
Create finish & concept boards and presentations as needed to convey concepts
-
Create detailed installation drawings and instructions
-
Communicate with vendors and obtain quotes
-
Be conscientious about the sociology of the workplace, including trends in collaborative space, co-working, executive suites, mobility, and evolving environments
-
Commit to the client experience through effective and timely written and visual communication.

Maintain accurate drawing files and design documents through all phases of design development
-
Maintain up to date task status and schedule of responsible tasks in Project Management Platform
-
Travel to client sites for initial presentations, site reviews, etc.

Provide options, similar and/or cost effective to satisfy the project/customer requirements
Skill & Knowledge Requirements
-
In-depth knowledge of commercial furnishings, ergonomics, and acoustic products
-
Ability to create detailed furniture specifications as well as installation drawings
-
Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently, excellent attention to detail
-
Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills

Follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and outside vendors

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Technology Expertise Requirements
-
Basic AutoCAD knowledge is required
-
Prior knowledge of CAP2020 furniture spec software and/or CET Commercial Interiors is required
-
Additional rendering programs is a plus
-
Photoshop or editing capabilities
-
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Education and Experience
-
BS in Interior Design or Interior Architecture preferred
-
Commercial Furniture Selection and Specifications experience (2 years min)
Any industry certifications welcome
Physical Requirements

Be able to lift samples and plan sets
-
Be able to stand for a long period of time including walking

Be able to visit job sites during construction on occasion
